The staff were very friendly, warm, and always attentive. A small sweet island to relax and escape the everyday life. Every dinner was a bit special, not the usual 0518 fare; they always cooked fresh for the guests, especially traditional and local dishes. However, about 15 people are ferried to the little island each day via the booked Robinson Crusoe tour and then supervised from 10‑16 h, even though a hotel guest might just want to unwind and enjoy the island and nature. Plus, twice a week around 130 people (also via Robinson) show up, which feels like too many for such a small, breathtaking island.

The room was clean and tidy, the staff great, and the traditional Fijian entertainment stood out. The food was very repetitive, basically the same thing every day.

“Would highly recommend this island for a laid back relaxed time.”

I loved the sheltered bay after the river trip and the short sea excursion—it was exactly what we wanted, with feet in the sand the whole time. Outdoor dining was very conducive to meeting other travelers, and we had an ocean‑front Bure that I would definitely recommend. Meals were great, the massage fantastic and reasonably priced. Those who complained about seaweed should stay inland! It’s great for families and it was lovely to see all the kids together. I’d recommend 3 to 4 nights and a village trip is worthwhile. Privacy screens on the ocean Bure decks would be a huge plus. Snorkeling wasn’t great but fine for swimming, and you can take a boat out to the reef.

“A fun place to stay.”

The activities offered were great and communication was easy when we planned our stay; the outside bathroom posed no problem and staying somewhere different felt refreshing, especially the fun ride to the island down the river through the mangroves. However, there were no racks for our bags, only one bedside table, and the eating area had bench seating—having a more comfortable seating area would improve the experience.
