“Smart, clean and economic but maintenance issues.”

The place feels modern and comfortable, and it's a great budget option—cheaper than any other accommodation in Taupo. The room was nice and the shared lounge was great, and the shower facilities were good. The attached café/restaurant was a plus. However, the auto‑code to enter my room failed, so I had to call the switchboard for a new code; they handled it efficiently, but other guests mentioned the same issue. The TV in the lounge was broken, the bedroom TV worked but its remote didn't, and one of the toilets wasn’t functioning properly.

The restaurant was a highlight. The parking and beds left something to be desired.

“It was nice for a short stay - although I stuck to the floor when I walked through the door which wasn’t pleasant!”

It was close to where I needed to go and the price was good. I was cold because there was no electric blanket.

Having an en-suite and the diner was great. A bedside lamp would be a bonus
