Absolutely beautiful place in Kinosaki. The staff were very kind, showed us how everything worked and where to go, even helped us put on the yukata. The room was cosy and warm, and we never had to wait for a private onsen. Highly recommend staying at Mikuniya ryokan.

The private bath was very comfortable, and the staff were very responsive, creating a cozy space. The bathroom in the room was dark, and from a woman's perspective, I couldn't apply makeup.

The large bath was lovely, designed to spill water out with a gentle trickling noise as you get in—refreshing for the soul. The staff made an effort even though my Japanese is poor. However, the toilet areas were quite dated; they work perfectly but aren't the standard I expected after staying elsewhere. The kaiseki would benefit from more instruction and information for international guests, though it was tasty.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, it was in a great location and I loved the breakfast at the hotel! highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit kinosaki
