“Un paradis à zanzibar”
Everything impressed us – the spot, the pool, the huge bungalow room with a private spa, and the food; the chef delivered excellent dishes from breakfast through dinner. The only thing missing was a hair dryer for those late‑night showers.
One of the most beautiful hotels on our Zanzibar trip. Located in a still somewhat untouched area by mass tourism, we really enjoyed our stay at Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas. A small bubble of calm and comfort inside a magnificent bungalow overlooking the Indian Ocean. Quality cuisine. The low‑tide walk on the coral reef will remain unforgettable. We regretted not staying longer.
They offer great free yoga classes, lunch is available during the day, and the beach is close; the restaurant is good but not the most refined aside from breakfast.

The food and the restaurant overall had great quality and variety. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious. The cleaning crew decorated the beds beautifully every day, and for our honeymoon we received a spa voucher and a bottle of champagne. An extended checkout was no problem. The pool in our bungalow didn’t always work; there were frequent short power outages. Only one kayak was available. Though not the property’s fault, the early‑morning noise from the nearby mosque’s mic‑delivered prayers and the smell of Bakhoor or incense drifting into the rooms had a strong impact on our stay.
We stayed for three nights and it was by far the best accommodation on our trip. The hotel was especially quiet and peaceful with everything we needed on site. The sea‑view room was amazing, making us feel like we were the only ones in the world. The staff were very pleasant, even though there was a small mix‑up with the romantic dinner we requested. The food was delicious. We highly recommend it!
