“Traditional hotel, clean and close to Gion”

The location is very good, the hotel is clean, and the room is spacious. The staff are kind and helpful. Even with the dehumidifier, the ground‑floor room stayed very humid.

The accommodation kept in touch with me because I could check in after 10 pm, and I really appreciated the reception staff’s kindness. I’ve stayed in this area before, but this time I chose this hotel because I’d always admired it, and I was right. The area is great: during the day you see beautiful streets and houses, and at night it’s very calm and peaceful. The room was very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the tatami area with the table and cushions made our stay a lot easier. The bathroom and shower were also great. The toilet console was broken.

“Overall, I would recommend staying here as it was a great location and affordable considering we stayed a week in Kyoto!”

The spot is excellent, right between the two neighborhoods you want to explore. We ended up extending our stay at the front of our reservation because of a typhoon, and they were accommodating, letting us move easily between our two rooms. We had some problems with the on‑site washing machine and the bidets didn’t work properly in both rooms. They were very helpful and had our laundry sent offsite free of charge, which we appreciated. However, when they sent someone to check our bidet while we were out, they left the door unlocked, which was disappointing.

The location is convenient, the staff are very friendly and actively help solve problems. The cleaning wasn’t thorough; as soon as I entered the room I found garbage under the bed that hadn’t been cleaned.
