The location and parking are great, and the price was good for a bank holiday. The room looked tired, as did the whole hotel, and the noise from the bar was very loud; a string and tape holding up a curtain rail isn’t a good repair.

The hotel let us bring in food because their menu was very limited. There was a very convenient and excellent Butty Van that we used, and the hotel allowed us to eat in the dining room while also offering a continuous breakfast that was excellent and used by our group.

The bed was comfortable and parking was free. The staff were short, the room décor was worn and dated, and because the room was at the front of the property, early‑morning deliveries could be heard while you’re trying to sleep.
