We booked a suite this time, and the room overlooking the lawn was well equipped with a great bed. We had to change rooms after finding roaches, which the hotel said is almost unavoidable this time of year, but it was still unpleasant for us at a price of about 188 €. The change was handled smoothly after we asked. The hunting lodge and its large grounds still impress us, the restaurant is okay to good, and the breakfast selection was satisfactory. Overall we give 8 points despite the issues. The reception ladies were very friendly! What bothered us was the restaurant service: the wine list only appeared after repeated requests, and the chosen wine wasn’t poured until after the appetizer, which annoyed us. The staff’s reply, “we’re busy,” instead of a brief apology, was an extra nuisance. It was a shame, unnecessary. The wine itself was delicious.

The location was quiet, the food was tasty, and the suite was huge. The service staff were very friendly, but the shower water wasn’t consistently hot. Dinner was pricey, and the reception staff could have been friendlier.

I love the location and the meal and restaurant. The bedroom felt a bit outdated, the carpet slightly stained, and the hairdryer was old‑fashioned—just needed a little updating.
