I asked the front desk for a hair dryer and the owner told me to just let the wind do its thing, then added that he’d take that as a future tip. It felt pretty disrespectful, especially since they’ve been around for eight years. I couldn’t help but laugh at how rude it was.

The staff were super helpful and the breakfasts were fantastic, especially the freshly baked cookies—each day a new flavor, from oatmeal to chocolate, all sweetened just right. The place stayed clean, too, which made the whole stay feel extra comfortable.

The hostel is beautiful, and both Moka and the staff are very attentive, making the stay feel warm and welcoming.

Loved the dogs Moka and Mali, but the bathroom was a mess when I got in—there was poop in the toilet. My room was next to a common table where noise after 10 pm was supposedly banned, yet one night the place stayed loud past midnight with a bunch of people, even the staff, shouting. The door had no lock or latch, and the breakfast was pretty basic.
