This spot feels like a cozy museum inside, full of unique and charming details. The host Antonella was superb—always friendly, attentive, and making sure we had everything we needed. She also gave us great local tips, which made our stay even better. The shared kitchen is free to use whenever you want, which we found very convenient. Absolutely recommend staying here; we felt welcomed and comfortable. If you need parking, it’s best to talk to Antonella beforehand since space is limited, but there is a spot in the alley. Overall, a safe place. The only downside was a missing curtain in the bathroom window that faced other units 🤭

The location is very good and the view from the room was beautiful. It isn’t a residential building; it’s a house with three rooms rented like an Airbnb. The house itself isn’t bad, but the information is very inaccurate: the “American breakfast” is just items left in a fridge for guests to prepare themselves… that’s fine, but it isn’t a real “American breakfast.” The rooms lack locks, the bathroom has no toilet paper, etc. The person in charge is sometimes present and sometimes not. All of this is acceptable in an Airbnb, but not in a “residential.” They should remove it from booking and list it on Airbnb. As it stands, it misleads and creates expectations that don’t match the type of property.

This place is a gorgeous, historic gem right in the middle of Castro with a view of the bay. The creaky floors and wall‑to‑wall art give it that old‑house charm, and it’s one of the few buildings that survived the 1960 quake. Antonella was super friendly and made us feel welcome. It’s my favorite Airbnb ever.

The house is absolutely beautiful and steeped in history, with a prime location and a gorgeous view. The service was top‑notch, and the host made sure we were comfortable. The only hiccup was the stairs to bring luggage up to the second floor.
