“Una piacevole sorpresa”

The setting is gorgeous in an old convent with a view of the Roman ruins. The atmosphere is unique and the peace is perfect; I recommend the tavern below with a typical Piacentino menu.

The view of the archaeological area and the attached restaurant were highlights. It wasn’t clear that the bathroom was shared, especially since the first photo of the room (not the whole property) is actually of the bathroom – that’s very misleading. Also, for those who need to stay out late, breakfast isn’t possible because the nearby bar opens at 9 am, even though this is a B&B.

“Eravamo venuti qui già lo scorso anno, ci siamo tornati con molto piacere”

The breakfast was great with handmade cakes on the terrace of the attached bar, offering a beautiful view of the archaeological site, surrounded by greenery. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. One of the few places in the area where we could bring our little dog. The only flaw, which is barely noticeable, is that the room door creaks a bit. The bathroom is outside the room and shared with others, but it’s spotless, so that wasn’t an issue.

The apartment’s location itself… it’s kind of… surprising. And then the silence, silence, and again silence. Like the end of the world, you know. And the people on site. Not just the staff, because everyone we met wanted to help to the same extent.

The location, staff, and food quality were good, but unfortunately the cold water was a problem.
