The staff were friendly, and the hotel could accommodate our tandem bike. Parking was plentiful and the surrounding area was pleasant. However, the vaulted bar area had worn and grubby furnishings, and the snail trails on the carpets were unappealing. The price was high for the poor quality breakfast, especially the toast made from the cheapest bread imaginable. The vegan dishes at the hotel restaurant were very low quality and lacked finesse in presentation.

The hotel and restaurant are great, and the staff were amazing; this stay was even better than our first visit. Nothing negative.

The location is fantastic, but some carpets were worn and the chrome in the bathroom was pitted with missing bits from the shower, making it look tired and in need of redecorating. We also had to walk through a courtyard in the rain to reach our room.
