The camera was clean and comfortable, the indoor pool was lovely for the off‑season, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious; parking was available on the property for an extra fee with a reservation. The experience was extremely unpleasant, mainly because of the staff’s attitude and lack of professionalism. I ran into problems right at reception. Even though the parking attendant had our reservation on file, the receptionist couldn’t find it. After I repeated our name twice, showed passports, mentioned the platform I used, and the booking date, and after she left and returned three times, she finally located it. The reservation had been made a few days earlier and included a half‑board that had already been paid. I eventually received the room key, but the troubles didn’t stop there. At dinner, the server who spoke only Hungarian and German couldn’t find my name on the guest list. I gave him the room number and tried to explain that the name on his list didn’t match mine. When he finally understood what I was saying in English, he hurried out of the restaurant, went to reception to check whether we were entitled to the meal we had paid for, and returned with the receptionist, handing him another list or perhaps turning over the page of the existing one— I didn’t quite grasp what happened. At checkout, he confirmed that everything was fine and somehow apologized for the situation. I’d also add that, because we were three people at the table, we asked for three glasses of water, but he brought us one 330 ml bottle, poured it into three large glasses, and didn’t even consider that he might have misunderstood the order, assuming it was enough to split one bottle among three people.
