The place was a quiet vacation spot. There was a musty smell in the room, the room’s door lock service was incomplete, the owner was a bit strange, overall it felt like an 80‑grade place.

You have access to a large lake. The breakfast is very good. The room isn’t modern and although there are some worn areas it’s fine and the mattresses are comfortable. There are services that make the stay very pleasant: you can use free boats to cruise the lake, there’s ping‑pong, billiards, you can take bikes and go on routes around the hotel. There’s also a pool and sauna but we didn’t use them. The restaurant’s hours were very restricted. In July the atmosphere is cold, the areas are very large and it seems like no one is there. It’s not a reason to reject the hotel but it’s something to keep in mind for the calm you feel. There was no option for a double bed.

The dinner was excellent and the service friendly. The location is great, right by the lake. Late check‑in via the key box on Sunday was no problem at all; the code arrived by SMS.

Overall, the hotel and room looked tidy, and breakfast was good. The room had a bit of dust, and the next evening someone decided to play the piano at 12 am.

“Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen das Haus weiter.”

The hotel’s seclusion is truly fantastic and I think we’ve never been in a place that’s so silent and dark, though it could use a fresh coat of paint and a bit of upkeep here and there.
