Located in Guimarães' historic city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Hotel da Oliveira is 150 metres from the iconic Guimarães Castle. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and minibars, individually decorated with historical Guimarães themes. A rich breakfast buffet is served daily, and guests can dine at the à la carte restaurant or rent cars and bicycles for exploration.

A charming small hotel in the heart of the historic center, with design details and a very helpful staff, especially Maria, and a good breakfast.

A friendly welcome with a glass of wine, a beautiful atmospheric bedroom, a great bathroom, centrally located in the historic part of Guimarães, and a good breakfast at the Michelin‑rated restaurant, though the bedroom was very atmospheric and beautiful but quite dark.

Again, the Hotel da Oliveira proved itself a quality accommodation with attentive staff, and I’ll stay there next time I return to Guimarães; however, the air conditioner was still set for summer, so I felt a bit cold on the second night.
