Located in the Upper Harz Mountains, CAREA Residenz Hotel Harzhöhe offers serene forest surroundings and free parking. Panoramic views of the Bocksberg Mountain are available from the spa district of Hahnenklee. The hotel features cable/satellite TV, work desks, and balconies in all rooms. A daily breakfast buffet and dinner are served at the Harzhöhe restaurant, with weekend access to a bar, lounge, and disco.

The food was surprisingly good for the price and selection, and the balcony and large rooms were nice. It isn’t the most modern place, mainly a vacation hotel for retirees.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was clean, and the food was varied – we liked it. The couch used as a third bed was very uncomfortable.
