Notarius Hotel Bodrum

The building is 200 years old, located in the heart of Bodrum’s old town, and it’s a short walk to everywhere. It’s super clean and well maintained, with nothing broken or at least I didn’t notice anything. It sits in a very quiet neighborhood, so it’s always peaceful day and night. We stayed for 11 nights and left deeply relaxed. I’ll miss Mahmoud the Cat a little extra. The only small issue is that if you’re on the ground floor and unlucky with your upstairs neighbors—as we were—you’ll feel like the ceiling is about to collapse on you. That has nothing to do with the hotel; the building is old, but our neighbors had an Iron Man marathon 24/7, nothing less, because I can’t explain all the walking, running, and banging all day and all night.

The location is central yet quiet. The courtyard is nice for breakfast and chilling. The staff are friendly. The rooms are a bit noisy, as you can hear every step from the room above.

The rooms were spotless and cozy, and the spot in Bodrum is unbeatable—just a short walk to all the eateries, beaches, and sights. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus, though the variety could have been a bit better. I’d definitely recommend it!

I was thrilled with my time at Notarius Hotel. The historic building itself is stunning, with a thoughtfully crafted interior that shows real attention to detail. My room was clean and fully equipped, and the price felt like great value. Everything I needed was within walking distance, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. It’s a stylish, cozy place full of character, and I’d stay there again for sure.

The location was great and very quiet, so I slept soundly. The room was clean, with high ceilings and good ventilation, and the hanging clothes rail was free‑hanging. The bed, however, had no slatted frame and sat only on a plywood board, yet I still slept well. The carpet was quite worn and should be replaced. The bathroom was tiny, the tap didn’t work and only produced three very fine, thread‑thin high‑pressure jets. I didn’t complain because I had already unpacked and didn’t want other guests in the room. The shower head had a very long hose that easily reached the sink, which worked fine. If I had complained, they would probably have fixed it.
