I was impressed by how spotless everything was and how welcoming the staff were throughout my visit.

“Disgusting”

I didn't see anything truly revolting in the room, but I immediately requested a refund and was told I had to leave; the place had used tissues on the floor, brown stains, a strong odor that might have been mold, and the TV was completely broken. When I asked for a refund, I hadn't even sat in the room—I just walked in and out, all for 120 pounds, and I still want my money back.

“Overall, very disappointing considering how much we paid for bed and breakfast”

The hotel sits nicely on the seafront and my third‑floor bedroom offered a sea view; the room was spacious enough to make tea and coffee, the bedding was clean and the bed comfortable. The Full Welsh breakfast was decent, especially the bacon, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the lobby bathroom was a bit shabby and dated, lacking toilet paper and hand‑drying tissue. After picking up our keys at reception, we met friends in the bar for an hour, then used the lift nearest the bar and tried to open our room doors with the keys—neither worked, and we were shocked to find the rooms already occupied by other guests. We thought we had the wrong keys, went back to reception, but they were correct; we had simply taken the wrong lift and ended up in the next hotel, The Central, which is apparently part of Can‑y Bae. The shower in our room didn't work properly, and there was no toilet paper again, so we had to get some from my partner’s mother’s room. The TVs in both bedrooms were difficult to operate, and the bar closed at 10 pm, just before we returned from a meal out. I could go on.
