Hotel Leon D'Oro

The hotel’s location is strategic, the breakfast is plentiful with a wide variety, and the beds are fairly comfortable; the staff is very welcoming and helpful. However, water leaked onto the floor from the shower, the mixer poorly controlled water pressure and temperature (I waited about 15 minutes for hot water), the diverter kept detaching, and the radiators were not always on, so it was chilly early in the morning—details that should be improved.

Everything was set up perfectly, the buffet breakfast—both sweet and savory—was generous and tasty, and the owner was very friendly and kind.

“Stylish and updated hotel with an incredible on-site restaurant. Fantastic staff too!”

The room had just been renovated, the bathroom was tidy and stylish, and the bed was cozy. The staff were amazing, the breakfast was top‑quality, and it’s one of the best small hotels I’ve stayed in rural Italy—a real gem. The on‑site restaurant was also fantastic, serving local specialties with a gourmet touch.

“Weekend ad Alfedena”

Although it looked a bit old from the outside, the interior was the opposite: well‑maintained and everyone was very courteous. The only downside was the bathroom drain, which didn’t work because of the pressure, so we had to use a bucket.

The hotel sits in a very central spot, is clean and well cared for, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and the dinner at the hotel restaurant is highly recommended—quality food cooked exceptionally well. They also accommodate extra menu requests appropriately. I had read that Guido and Giovanna, the owners, are friendly, affable, and very welcoming, and as I told Guido, “that was all true!!!”
