“Gutes Hotel mit schönem Ausblick”

The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was great, breakfast had everything you could want, and the view of the lake was fantastic. The beds were unfortunately extremely uncomfortable; we slept badly because the mattresses were too soft and offered no support, they kept shifting and falling off the edge.

The view of the lake was nice. The reception was not open at night and my key card didn’t work, so I couldn’t get into the room that night.

The pool area was fantastic and our room was right next to it. The view from the room was amazing. The bathroom was great. When we checked out, the receptionist spoke good English. Breakfast was fine, but there was no cocoa and no proper cake, though there was plenty of fruit and vegetables. The room was extremely hot. The bed was uneven and too soft. The armchairs were uncomfortable to sit in. There was only satellite TV, no international channels, no smart TV or Chromecast. The day we arrived, the receptionist spoke very poor English and the instructions were hard to understand.

We had a 15:00 check‑in scheduled, but after more than two hours of waiting we left and found another hotel. The receptionist was extremely rude, never even wishing us a good day. We sat in the foyer, asking every 30 minutes about our room, and he kept saying “just 15 minutes more,” never even remembered our names. We’ve stayed at many hotels, but this never happened before. No apology and no offer of a drink.

The wellness area was fantastic, and a trainee in service was great! The rest of the staff and the exterior condition of the building were disappointing.
