The place is great. The air‑conditioner vent was covered in dust, and the ceiling fan had dust on it too. I included pictures, but I’m not sure the dust is visible. The bed and sheets were fine.

The location is nice – good public transport links and most places are walkable. The room had a strong odor (maybe someone smoked there?). The owner sprayed something in the room before handing me the keys, hoping the smell would go away, so I kept the fan on for several hours but it didn’t help. The window handle was removed; I asked in the morning if they could open it because the smell was unbearable, but the owner only offered more spray, which made it worse since there was no way to get fresh air. The only option was to keep the room door open, but I didn’t feel safe because anyone could enter the hallway. For most of the day the first locked doors of the building were the room’s doors (not even locked, and that was also not functioning, but at least it had a ball from the outside). This made showering in the room even more disadvantageous because humidity accumulated. There was no place to store clothes, only a small cabinet under the sink – a bad idea to put anything there. All my clothes were covered in dust, which suggests it hadn’t been cleaned for years. It would have been better to use the shower area as a wardrobe since the shared bathroom had to be used anyway. The noise from the shared bathroom was very loud; I woke up whenever someone used water (sink or shower). Maybe this is normal in Italian houses. It’s better than sleeping under a bridge, but consider other options that are available. I just hope there were no bed bugs, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

I had an amazing stay! My flight was delayed and I got there around midnight, yet the staff guided me clearly to my room, making the whole process stress‑free. The room was spotless, cozy, and exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the clear communication and smooth check‑in after a long trip, and I would definitely come back.
