“Overall very disappointed”
Honestly, the only thing we liked was the location relative to the venue we were attending. We are asking for a refund or compensation because of multiple cleanliness, maintenance, and safety problems that happened during our stay—mainly in the King Suite we had originally booked. Cleanliness/bedding (King Suite): The fitted sheet didn’t fit the king bed (it looked like the wrong size) and came loose at night. We woke up on a bare mattress, which is unsanitary and unacceptable. The bedding also had a visible stain, raising further cleanliness concerns. Maintenance/electrical (King Suite): When we arrived, the TV didn’t work because the remote batteries were dead, so I had to get new ones from the front desk. Later, the TV stopped working again. I tried troubleshooting by switching outlets; the TV came back on, but then the lamp stopped working—suggesting an outlet/electrical issue in the room. The fireplace in the suite didn’t work (it was cool enough that we would have used it). Safety/security (King Suite): The room door wouldn’t secure with the deadbolt, a serious safety issue. Service/resolution: When I reported the outlet/electrical problem to the front desk, the associate couldn’t solve it. I asked for a room change. The hotel moved us to a Double Queen room. That room was acceptable, but it wasn’t the room type we reserved and paid for. Additional concern: Both rooms, and the hotel overall, had a persistent unusual odor that we noticed throughout the stay. After checkout, I contacted the hotel to request a refund because of the issues above and was told to pursue it because the reservation was prepaid. Given the combination of cleanliness problems, non‑functioning amenities, electrical issues, and a deadbolt that wouldn’t lock—along with being moved to a different room type—we don’t feel we received the accommodations we paid for.
