The location was easy to get to, with parking and EV charging available. The room was too small, the common area wasn’t well maintained, the reception staff wasn’t helpful, and the food was a disaster for us. Because occupancy was low, there was no buffet and we had to choose from a limited selection between Sri Lankan and continental options, with extra charges for additional servings. After talking for over an hour, they agreed to split the options. The staff was good, but the policies weren’t guest‑friendly.

When we arrived at 4 a.m. we were told there was an overbooking and were immediately directed to their partner hotel right nearby, where they welcomed us with great kindness; the property was clean, the room spacious and fully equipped; it’s just outside the city center and the chaos, but a 5‑minute tuk‑tuk gets you there. The terrace serves an excellent breakfast, and the staff are always attentive and smiling, including the driver who arranged the airport pick‑up service.

For its star rating, it ticked all the boxes as expected, but the frontage at the entrance via Marine Drive doesn’t provide enough space to park while checking in; it seems to say, park your vehicle at your own risk.
