The place is close to my university, but the cleanliness was disappointing; there were no stove or cooking equipment, no breakfast kit (I expected a coffee pod for the price paid), walls weren’t soundproof so we heard everything from the neighboring flat and outside, and the flat was on the ground floor on the street. For the price I had expected better treatment.

The neighborhood is quiet. The flat is decent for a few nights, with high ceilings that could accommodate a mezzanine. It has a washing machine, kettle, coffee maker, fridge, and tea (a box of green tea was provided). The mattress and pillows are very comfortable, the shower is good, and the shower products are fine. There’s a small table with two chairs and just enough cutlery for two. A microwave, cups, glasses, and plates are available. It’s a few minutes on foot from the metro station. The host service is very responsive, and the cleaning lady was called urgently to address cleanliness issues. However, the cleaning was not done at all: the floor, sink, and bed were dirty, with hair on the floor, pillows, duvet, sheets, and bath towels. A bedside lamp is missing, as is a stove plate, a drying rack, and a dish towel. A second nightstand would be useful. The trash bags are very poor quality and hard to open. The manual roller blind stopped working on the third night, which is a shame for a flat with potential.

“Fine for a night, but could be better.”

We enjoyed a good shower, a washing machine, and a nice bed. The flat wasn’t cleaned properly before we arrived—the table was very dirty and we had to clean it ourselves, and the cutlery was dirty so we washed everything before use. At night, the power would randomly shut down and a bright emergency light would turn on; this happened every night, it couldn’t be turned off, it woke us up and ruined our sleep. We tried to contact the host, but they weren’t helpful in real time, though they said they would look into it. Also, it wasn’t clear that there was no stove, which surprised us. At checkout we were told to wash the dishes ourselves, but we weren’t given proper cleaning supplies—the sponge was dirty and old. Finally, the apartment door isn’t secure; it’s basically a door you’d find between rooms in an apartment.

Nothing positive. There was a bad smell, stained sheets, lint and food in the kitchen cabinets, and a dirty floor.
