The spot is great, close to everything on foot, and there's a public parking spot just 200 meters away; the apartment is stylishly decorated and feels contemporary. The room was in the attic and the bed sits low on the roof, so we bumped our heads trying to get out of bed—don’t book it if you’re tall. The air‑conditioning system detected a refrigerant leak and triggered a loud alarm that woke us abruptly at midnight, causing a bit of panic; we slept with the door ajar to let in fresh air. It’s just 50 m from Porta Nova, in a newly renovated (or rebuilt?) building that blends modern hotel perks with the historic city centre vibe. Breakfast is a real treat, a genuine delight. I’m one of those who prefers closed bathrooms, but here the air‑conditioning vent was in the bathroom, so the separation from the room was more symbolic than real.

The location, décor, cleanliness, breakfast, and the friendliness of the staff were all good. The ceiling above the bed was too low.
