“Great location - but remember it's a 3 star hotel that feels like a student apartment.”

The spot is spot-on, right in the heart of the old town and within walking distance of every major attraction. But the room felt more like a second‑hand student flat with used furniture and a grimy bathroom. The tower‑style fan that replaces air‑conditioning was filthy, the ceiling light had exposed live wires, and the electrical cable behind the TV was hanging off the wall. Even the spiral staircase, which was marketed as a feature, turned out to be underwhelming.

Great location, close to everything. Very friendly and nice staff. The property was a bit dated—the bathroom and toilet could use some updating

“Wonderful place to touch down to see the sites of Munchen!”

Hotel Lux is perfectly situated in Munich’s old town, just two minutes from the victuals market, two minutes from the Glockenspiel, and only a minute’s walk to the Hofbräuhaus. The rooms may feel a bit cramped, and like many hotels in the older part of town, there is no elevator to help you carry luggage to the upper floors.

“Espectacular”

The hotel is gorgeous, the room is very comfortable and appropriately sized. The staff, especially Jennifer and Florian, provided impeccable service. Breakfast was excellent and they even offered a complimentary drink. The location is fantastic.
