The hotel is beautiful and very charming. Excellent location. Breakfast was excellent, rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Parking is a short walk away

There was no issue with checking in two hours early, the hotel sits on Placu Republiki in the centre, the breakfast was very good, the room was quiet and the bathroom was large. Everything else was fine.

I liked the breakfast, the location and the friendliness of the staff. On the first night I had to sleep with the window open because it was hot; the air‑conditioner only worked on heating and the central heating was on. The bed felt like pure winter, with warm blankets and an eiderdown, but it wasn’t cold enough to justify that. In both mornings I showered, had to leave the tub, dress, and call a staff member to tighten the shower knob because it was out of place and the water wouldn’t turn on… the first time I didn’t get wet, but the second time it happened after I had already been in the water and turned off the tap (I had to leave soaked, wrapped in a towel, call for help and stay in a towel while they fixed it). The bath towels were tiny; I thought they had mistakenly only put face towels, but all towels were mini. I’m 1.75 m tall and couldn’t cover my body. All staff were friendly, but some knew little about the area. When I asked how to get to the inn they didn’t know (the lady wasn’t from Viseu but had lived there for 4 years). The staff apologized when I checked out over the shower issue, but I think an apology isn’t enough when you pay 90 € per night and have to have a staff member in the room fixing the shower twice in the morning. The accommodation didn’t meet expectations, but I wasn’t disappointed. Despite everything, the two days were good. I would stay again if the hotel made the necessary improvements and ensured everything worked.
