The room was cozy with a lovely sea view, but there was no toilet on the ground floor and no reception staff when I arrived to unlock the room, forcing me to head to a local pub for a bathroom break.

I requested a room with an outside view because I had spent a lot of money on a very small room that offered a poor view and a mop hanging outside the window on the roof; getting to the toilet required some gymnastics. The room was clean, but the staff’s attitude was bad—they were silent, serious, and unhelpful when I asked for another room. They were rude, the TV didn’t work, and they didn’t even bother to check on me for two minutes. It was terrible from day one; I wasn’t happy at all. When they asked what I wanted for breakfast, it felt rude. Only on the last day did she smile a bit and ask if I was okay. She had other rooms but wouldn’t give me one, even though I paid a lot for that tiny room—more than I pay for a month in London. If I could, I’d shut that place down. This isn’t how you receive guests; I paid to feel at peace. I’ve endured a lot, but I work hard and I do my best, and this was unnecessary. If I had known about this place or had more money, I would have left the next day.

“Lovely breakfast and perfectly placed in the port”

Bella was fantastic, helpful, and friendly, but the TV in one of our rooms wasn’t working at all.

The entire room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful; it would have been nice to have a bigger TV, but that wasn’t a problem.
