The spa, pool, and gym were good. The room was dated and tired, had no bath plug, the TV’s remote was broken, and there was no phone in the room so I kept going to the reception desk. Food and drink prices were higher than expected, and the hotel had a lot of homeless people and pets around.

A very relaxed overnight stay to prep for the Chester Marathon, with a warm welcome. The menu offered to us was absolutely lovely; I struggled to choose dinner and dessert. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I’ll definitely come back next time I run the Chester Marathon.

The staff were friendly, but the room was outdated; the shower made the whole room wet, the floors weren’t slip‑resistant, so it felt unsafe. The fire doors stayed open all night, giving us no sense of security and making us worry anyone could walk in. We only had one dinner, which wasn’t cheap, the food was awful, and breakfast was cold. We booked for three nights but could only stay two, so we couldn’t add another night.
