Magma Resort Santorini, In The Unbound Collection By Hyatt

The hotel is nice, yet it’s not in a very convenient location and I’m not sure if there’s another way to reach it besides a taxi. It’s far from the beach or restaurants, more suited for an active break and privacy. Otherwise it’s designed as a modern “smart room” concept, with a receptionist who speaks Russian as well as English, which is a bonus. The food is uniquely tasty! I was unpleasantly surprised at the airport because I had booked a welcome reception for a tight flight, but nobody was waiting for me. I had to grab a taxi myself; fortunately I found an empty one, and the hotel staff explained that my transfer request had been directed to O. Krit.

“A holiday just the way you’d wish for it.”

The experience was exceptional; we felt incredibly welcome, and despite our dietary restrictions, the kitchen prepared individually tailored menus for us. Sara (Concierge) and Fortini (F&B Manager) made our stay truly wonderful and enjoyable. The room, the pool, and the view were absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but we knew that when we booked; in return, it offers a free shuttle to the beach and to Fira several times a day.

The hotel is small but luxurious; we had a car that let us explore the whole island and avoid crowds. The pool was lovely, the spa fantastic, breakfast buffet plentiful and tasty, and the service excellent. Nothing to complain about—I really enjoyed our stay.

“It was relaxing and peaceful.”

The staff were amazing from arrival until departure! I had a fabulous time. So relaxing and peaceful. I had a rental so did not mind driving 10 minutes into town. I travel a lot for work, and I have to say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I think the food choices could switch it up a bit. There were some changes on Saturday. It was a good spread of options though.

“Best Hotel/ Resort”

Everything! I have stayed in lots of high‑end hotels and this is exceptionally good. It's relaxing here. I love the private pool, and it's not the super tiny private pools used for marketing only, it's a useful pool, the staff are exceptionally friendly. The food is good, the water in the rooms is PH8 water, I love the view, it's a quiet environment too. Complimentary shuttle to Fira, my children enjoyed it, thank you. It has a sea view from the restaurant, a very long pool also. Nothing.
