The riad’s location was fantastic, the courtyard very tasteful, and the rooftop terrace a refuge. It was hard to imagine being in the middle of Marrakech. The breakfast was very lovingly prepared and varied each day. We had the family room on the ground floor. It was a bit dark, but we didn’t mind. At night it was quiet. The muezzin could be heard, but not loudly. In the morning, however, any sound from guests in the courtyard or passing by the room was audible. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might want to book a room on an upper floor.

The place was well situated in the medina, the staff were lovely, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. The shower pressure was awful and the bathroom door didn’t close properly.

The riad itself was gorgeous and tastefully decorated, and I loved my room. Service overall was poor and understaffed. When I arrived at 5 pm, a lady kept me downstairs for half an hour without a clear plan, then offered tea before letting me go to my room. No one helped with my heavy bag, so I had to climb the tight, steep stairs alone. Breakfast took over 30 minutes each morning for watery coffee and processed “la Vache qui rit” cheese, though other items were decent. I would stay again for the room, but not for the service.
