The décor was brilliantly colorful and truly lovely, and the view of Sakuraga‑ike behind the building was spectacular. It would have been flawless if a sauna and a cold‑water pool had been available.

A modern hotel close to the mountains, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the indoor and outdoor onsens were charming. The huge heated pool lets you soak or water‑walk, and a lap pool is nearby. The traditional breakfast was elaborate and varied, and there are many restaurants within a 10‑minute drive. UNESCO sites like Gokayama are only a 30‑minute drive away, making it perfect for a peaceful, relaxing stay. Nothing to complain about.

The facilities, rooms, and baggage transfer were all good, and a baby bed was available. The staff didn’t speak English, and it wasn’t possible to book dinner and breakfast upon arrival because meals had to be planned in advance.
