Located 650 metres from Hokitika River, Heritage Highway Motel features self-contained rooms with satellite TV and free on-site parking. The motel is within a 10-minute walk of shops, restaurants, and bars. It is situated across the road from the Hokitika Swimming Pool and 6 minutes' walk from Cass Square, offering a kitchen with a coffee machine and electric blankets in each room.

The location was good and close to amenities, but parking was an issue, the shower was in the spa bath, and the exhaust fan didn’t work.

The place was clean, quiet, and the best part was that pets were allowed, so my dog stayed with me—a rarity in NZ compared to Europe where dogs are accepted in most places, and there was nothing I didn’t like.

The location to town was convenient, there were walking tracks outside the property for dog‑walking, and the shower and toilet were easy to access.
