The setting is spectacular, with rice fields and the mountain in front. It's a delight to wake up or be by the pool and admire the scenery. The staff are very friendly, always making sure everything is fine and ready to help with anything we need. At reception, they helped us get tickets for Fansipan and a guided trek, which was a great choice. The restaurant food was very good and the massage we had there was also spectacular. We had the bungalow a bit lower, and the stone stairs from the restaurant/reception to the bungalow were not well lit, so we had to go down with a flashlight.

The bungalows are beautiful with amazing views. The staff and food were absolutely amazing. The only thing I didn't like was that the bungalows didn't have a small refrigerator.

The balcony opens onto a vast expanse of terraced fields, letting you feel close to nature in a truly eco‑friendly setting where many items are made from natural materials. The staff were outstanding, always smiling and giving the vibe that they’re here to make friends. Even though I stayed only one night, they still cleaned the room in the afternoon—quite amazing. There are stairs, but the staff help carry luggage so you don’t have to worry. The afternoon scenery was gorgeous, and the happy hour let us relax in the pool or on the balcony while enjoying the view. It’s a bit far from the city centre, but I knew that when booking, so I had no complaints; a taxi to the centre takes just 15 minutes. The massages are pricier than usual, but the one I had over the past few days was the most relaxing, wiping away the fatigue from our hikes. There’s no air‑conditioning in the room, but in late September the evenings in Sha Ba are already very cool, so the fan suffices, though the steam after a shower can feel a little heavy. We dined here for dinner, and a few dishes were ones I’d never had even after many trips to Vietnam—great. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent; there are more mosquitoes in the afternoon and no mosquito coils are provided.
