If you’re a frequent host‑el guest, I’d recommend staying here. Check‑in is long, but you can check‑out and leave immediately, giving you a lot of freedom. You rarely encounter staff, which is comfortable for solo travelers. The environment is cleaner than expected, the AC is powerful, and the women’s dorm rooms are spacious. The mattress is thin but still very comfortable. The downside is that the environment feels damp; during my stay the weather rained and there was some water leakage in the common area, leaving the floor wet. The Wi‑Fi is weak and drops out intermittently. If you’re new to host‑els, prefer a stricter standard, or expect hotel‑level service, this place may not suit you.

The bar plays jam music and smoking is allowed. The vibe and price are great. Koenji is fantastic for music, atmosphere, and parties, and it’s cheaper than other spots in Tokyo. Go for it!

“安さの一方で、快適に寝て疲れを取るにはイマイチ。”

The place is cheap, and both Koenji and Shin-Koenji stations are within walking distance, with a supermarket nearby; the toilet is fairly clean. The stairs are narrow and steep, the tangled wiring of the electrical equipment is annoying, the upper step of the bed is too low, and on the third floor the Wi‑Fi was almost unusable.
