“This is not a traditional Japanese ryokan experience.”
The physical building/room is clean and well taken care of. It is located in a pretty conveniently making it easy to go into town. This is NOT the Japanese ryokan you are imagining in your head. This is literally just a western style wooden cabin you would find in the midwest of the US. There is no dinner included and the breakfast can added but it is very minimal. The REAL noshiyu ryokan is right next to this building and THAT one is what you want…it looks phenomenal. If you choose this place, you will be stuck watching everyone enjoy a wonderful ryokan experience while you are stuck with bare minimum. The staff is shared between the two places but all of them are concentrated in the actual ryokan across the street so there is literally NOBODY in the your building. They only come over for 1 minute if they are needed and then they rush back over to the proper place across the street
