The hotel is small, intimate, well appointed, and the service is excellent, but the bathrooms are a bit noisy with open windows and the bedrooms are insulated while Colombo traffic outside is loud and relentless.

I stayed here again and it matched my previous visit—beautiful hotel, lovely courtyard, pool, spacious rooms, comfy beds. This time the upstairs bar and restaurant were open and absolutely fantastic, with great indoor/outdoor spaces and exceptional food; we ate there both nights and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The staff were cooperative and helpful, swapping us into a quieter room when ours was noisy. Restaurants and supermarkets were within walking distance. However, the room had a moldy, rustic feel and a light that sparkled occasionally; we complained but nothing was done.

The hotel was very good quality, with a large bed, pool, jacuzzi, splendid décor, and excellent staff. The downside was the early check‑in fee of 30 dollars, even though we were in low season.
