The hotel sits beautifully with a stunning valley view, and the garden around it is well kept; the room was roomy, and despite slightly worn furniture everything worked fine. The downside is that breakfast isn’t served until 9:00 a.m., while most local tours start around 6:00–7:00 a.m., making it nearly impossible to enjoy the paid breakfast. Even worse, there’s no way to book a room without breakfast, so you end up paying for something you can’t use.

The room’s river view is great. The balcony door lets in cold air, so I had to use a towel to keep the room from getting chilly.

Nice river views and a cheap, easy Uber to town. I requested a vegan breakfast weeks ahead, but only a few fruit pieces were offered; when I asked for vegetables, I was ignored. The bed faced the window, so I had to turn it to see the view, and the white curtains let in fluorescent light that made sleeping difficult. There was no elevator, and the crushed‑stone patio forced me to carry luggage instead of rolling it. The hotel is far from any restaurants.
