The facilities were superb, the staff very friendly, and booking for à la carte and spa was easy; overall a fab stay. The Arab, Pan Asian, and beach club restaurants were the best for family food. In some à la carte restaurants the food wasn’t hot enough; it was tasty but could have been hotter.

The staff, especially at reception, were extremely unpleasant. They laughed at me because I didn’t have a card for the “contactless” deposit that works worldwide. They made my 2‑year‑old daughter and I wait five hours for our room and told us to cancel if we didn’t have a physical card, even though the all‑inclusive package was already paid. I had stayed here twice that summer, so this disastrous welcome shocked me. The manager, BERT, is infamous!

The room was fine, but the Regnum The Crown is marketed as an exclusive high‑end hotel while the reality is different. The biggest issue is that the Regnum Carya is right next door and its guests can use the pool, beach, and the Daphne Buffet‑Restaurant of The Crown. This makes the central areas regularly crowded and sometimes overcrowded. A The Crown room that costs more than double the price feels disproportionate to the advertised exclusivity. The adult‑only rooftop bar is also very small; after about 11 pm there are hardly any loungers left. Regnum Carya guests can use the area for 80 € and it fills up quickly. There is no real exclusive retreat. Service often lacks attention, initiative, and speed. Employees sometimes stand together, chat, and seem absent. For this price level that’s unacceptable. However, there are staff who show a different approach: Oktay at the Lotus Restaurant and Emre at the Yan Ji Restaurant were exceptionally attentive, warm, and emotionally sensitive. Guests felt truly seen and comfortable. Unfortunately, such positives were a minority compared to the rest of the staff. One could ask the rest of the team how those two interact with guests. The food also falls short of the claim. Maia was the only positive experience. Many a‑la‑carte restaurants lacked flavor finesse, proper seasoning, and sometimes correct doneness. In the Daphne Buffet Restaurant, dishes were often lukewarm or really cold, even freshly cooked pasta was almost always cold. Despite repeated requests, plastic bottles were still served instead of glass.

The property is incredible; everything feels brand new, smells amazing, and the staff are helpful and kind. The rooms and facilities are brilliant, very beautiful, and the beaches and pools are amazing. Food is divine – this really is a special hotel! However, there isn’t enough separation between adults‑only and family areas. Children screaming and watching loud programs on their iPads during dinner or at the beach are a real distraction. Some staff need training on dealing with rude guests and parents who don’t care about other guests’ experience. Everyone wants to enjoy their time, but some families are incredibly selfish and let their children run amok across the estate. We were here for our anniversary and, although our concerns were heard, we spent a good amount of time listening to kids’ programs and loud music. What happened to common decency? Also, some staff really need training on how to take drink orders and mix cocktails.
