The rustic ambience of the inn, the good breakfast and food selection, and the quiet room in superb city centre proximity made everything within walking distance easy to reach. 👍

The hotel’s location is good and the city centre is quickly reachable, but the property is clearly old. The house has its own charm, yet many areas urgently need renovation, cleaning and maintenance work. The breakfast was unfortunately very sparse and, in our view, far below what one would expect for this price and overall standard. Added to that was an unpleasant rush during breakfast: while we wanted to eat calmly, the tables were loudly and sometimes very hurriedly cleared. The staff seemed overall stressed. The room, especially the bathroom, also left a bad impression. The mirror was dirty, the toothbrush glasses on the floor were unclean, the towels were very hard, and there were remnants of previous guests under the sink. The sink did not drain properly, and there were still hairs on the stopper. A hotel of this price range should be much more careful with cleanliness. The carpet in the hotel looks good at first glance, but due to its age and heavy use it is visibly dirty and should either be thoroughly cleaned or replaced. Another issue is the missing lift; the stairs are sometimes difficult to climb because the steps have varying inclines or heights, which should be taken into account for older or physically limited guests. The rooms are also very noisy; sounds from the hallway and other guests are clearly audible, making a quiet stay difficult.
