“Bookers Beware Of Very Late Night Music!!”
One receptionist, João, was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast offered plenty of options, and the ladies at the breakfast table were always cheerful and eager to prepare tapioca or eggs for you—overall a great breakfast experience. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the property was tidy.
On the downside, we stayed for four nights and there was consistently SUPER LOUD music from the gas station across the street and several other nearby establishments until 2‑3 am on three of the four nights. I understand this may be outside the Pousada’s control, but guests should know that you might not get any sleep until about 3 am for most of your stay. The “music” was worse because there were 2‑3 sources of very different music at equally loud volume all directed at you. There is no soundproofing in the rooms and the windows do not seal properly; the front “windows” are just wooden shutters with no actual window. It was extremely loud late into the night except for Wednesday, when there was little to no music. Additionally, except for João, the reception staff were somewhat rude. The drain in our bathroom sink leaked for 2 days, so water was dripping all over the floor. It took them two days (and two attempts) to fix it, and they were completely unapologetic about the whole thing. This place has many shortcomings, especially with the sound issues, so I would not recommend it overall.
