The Waldhaus Reinbek, a privately run hotel, features 49 individual rooms and suites on the edge of Schleswig-Holstein's largest forest area, the Sachsenwald Forest. Guests receive a complimentary 750 ml bottle of mineral water upon arrival. The hotel offers creative, seasonal cuisine, a show kitchen, and an American Bar. It's a 15-minute walk from Reinbek S-Bahn Station, with trains to Hamburg Central Station in 30 minutes.

Ich war zum 2ten mal da und es ist wirklich ein schönes undvindividuelles haus mit sehr nettem Personal. Und ein tolles Restaurant mit top Personal. Im zimmer stand ein sehr wackliges regal für fie kaffemaschiene und die handtücher waren schon ziemlich dünn

The hotel’s location, cleanliness, and restaurant food were positives, but the Wi‑Fi was down, the equipment felt like it was from the 1980s, the TV could only be used from the bed, and there was barely any storage space.

The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the SPA was also nicely furnished. I had a cocktail at the restaurant that was well mixed, and the breakfast selection was good; I also liked the surroundings of the hotel. On the downside, there were two parties that evening and into the night, with bass audible until about 02:00, making sleep impossible. The fitness area was rather under-equipped, with only dumbbells and a stepper (no instructions) and no ergometers. For a 5‑star hotel, I would have expected a pool.
