The estate was beautiful and large, featuring a vineyard and an olive plantation; the apartment was very spacious but rather spartan, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The major drawback was the presence of animals on the grounds with poor conditions: a donkey kept in isolation with excessively long hooves, manure not removed from the donkey or the horses, animals left in their own dung, a miniature pig without adequate weather protection and kept in an overly small pen. Anyone who values proper animal welfare should look elsewhere.

“An Absolute Tuscan Dream – Perfection in Every Detail!”

From the moment we arrived at Podere La Doccia, we knew we had found a true slice of paradise in Civitella in Val di Chiana. Nestled among rolling vineyards and olive trees, this breathtaking stone farm stay effortlessly captures the magic of the "Dolce Vita." The accommodations are the perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort. Our room was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with excellent air conditioning and top-tier amenities. Stepping out into the lush, perfectly manicured gardens every morning felt like walking into a postcard. The absolute standout feature is the spectacular swimming pool. Floating in the water while looking out over the panoramic views of the Tuscan hills was an unforgettable experience. The property also features wonderful extras like free bicycles to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, a relaxing hot tub, and peaceful outdoor lounge areas. Breakfast each morning was a culinary highlight. Served outside on a sun-drenched terrace, it featured a delicious, fresh buffet packed with traditional Italian specialties, warm pastries, fresh fruits, and delicious homemade cakes made from the estate's own products. What truly elevates Podere La Doccia, however, is the hospitality. The owners and staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and deeply professional. Their attentive service made us feel right at home from day one, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect (and they speak French, too!). If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful, and luxurious getaway in the heart of Tuscany with an incredible price-to-quality ratio, look no further. We left a piece of our hearts here and cannot wait to return!. Nothing, well there was one thing. Us having to leave. 🥹

“Heerlijk!”

A beautiful farm on a picturesque location with the friendliest staff. There were no daytime or late‑afternoon facilities for drinks or snacks unless you specifically asked. We might have known that earlier. The agriturismo has an external manager who is very friendly and helpful; the owners themselves aren’t present, which sometimes adds a bit of charm.

The new building is stunning and the setting is enchanting; the owners are fantastic and ready for any need. We stayed in the spa‑room and it was amazing, with a wonderful view, peace, and good wine. The breakfast was also excellent. We’ll return.
