We only liked the location; everything else was in a severe state of disrepair and dirty, the lobby desk was behind plexiglass, construction was ongoing with no notice of improvements, and we were traveling with two other couples who would have left if other rooms were available.

The mattress was comfortable and the room was clean, but everything else was old and worn: peeling paint, yellowish ceiling that looked dirty, no hair dryer, so you really can’t be too demanding.

The box spring was so broken the bed turned into a taco; the bed was a 1950s old box‑spring mattress, the ceiling looked like it had leaked every year since the building was constructed, and our room number was painted in Sharpie on a piece of paper taped with blue painter’s tape.

“Good location, but the smell of fresh paint was unbearable”

Newly renovated rooms. Our room was freshly painted, must have been the day we arrived. The smell of paint was impossible to ignore. It was to the point of every guest having a sore throat. We asked for a switch of rooms, and they said “all the ground floor rooms were just painted”. The definitely should have closed the hotel rooms that were just painted

I booked but no one was at the front desk; I waited 15 minutes, still no one, and others were also waiting behind me; I left and booked elsewhere, and I want a refund because I was there but they were not.
