Mercure Hotel Dortmund Centrum

The reception staff were competent, patient, very friendly, efficient and quick. The city centre location turned out to be surprisingly quiet acoustically. The breakfast buffet was good and opened as early as 06:30 am. The room furnishings were decent, and the single room’s size was adequately proportioned. The nearby city‑centre parking garages are only a 5‑minute walk or 150 m away, have plenty of free spaces after 20:00 h, and offer inexpensive night rates. The only improvement that could be made would be to add a brighter ceiling lamp to enhance the lighting.

“Empfehlenswert”

The location was ideal for concert visits. The staff were very friendly. You feel very comfortable in the hotel. The only issue was two footprints in the bathroom from work shoes. Beside the room there was a construction site for renovations. Maybe that was the cause. In a bathroom that should be hygienic, this should not happen.

My stay at this hotel in Dortmund was unfortunately very disappointing. During the night, a disturbing hum could be heard roughly every 15 minutes, and the associated vibrations were even felt in the bed, preventing me from sleeping all night. For the price paid, the value for money was very poor. A quiet night should be expected in a hotel.
