I liked how close the hotel was to the places I needed, but the parking felt a bit old‑fashioned and pricey.

“Great location, but the property needs refurbishing.”

I picked this place because of its spot for the Cheltenham Literary Festival, and the restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, plus the free water bottles were a nice touch. However, the first‑floor room was shabby, the sheer curtain was torn, hot water was hard to get in the shower, and the bathroom mirror was positioned too high for a 5 foot 3 1/2 inch woman; the carpet should be replaced, and the view was just a bunch of air‑conditioning units above the ground floor.

“Great location, poor facilities”

The location was spot on and parking was available, yet the hotel feels dated and really needs a refurbishment; it’s clean but the facilities don’t match the price, rooms get too hot, and the heating can’t be controlled.

“Lovely hotel in a great location”

The hotel’s location was great and right in the center of everything, staff were efficient, and breakfast was lovely, but the rooms were too warm and the bar, tucked at the back of the hotel, was very dark and lacked atmosphere.
