Palm Court Motel, Otorohanga, is a convenient base, 200 metres from cafes, restaurants, and shops. Accommodation features air conditioning, kitchenettes or fully equipped kitchens, lounge areas with flat-screen TVs, and some offer private courtyards. Free WiFi and a tour desk for local adventures, including black-water rafting and kayaking, are available. The motel is close to Otorohanga Kiwi House and Waitomo Caves.

The motel was pleasant and in a very convenient spot, right next to Woolworths and McDonald’s. The room felt a bit dated, and there was no kitchen sink, which made washing dishes a bit inconvenient. Unfortunately, the bed was quite hard and not the most comfortable. The price for one night was a little higher than I expected, although I suspect the location plays a big part in the pricing. Overall, it was a convenient place to stay for a short visit, but I felt it was slightly overpriced for the room and facilities provided.

The reception was great, clean, warm and welcoming; I was a little worried about road noise, but didn't notice anything, and we would love to stay again.
