The bed was nicely made, but I’m honestly perplexed by the glowing reviews. The photos don’t match reality; after a 5‑hour drive I struggled to locate the entrance, turning repeatedly on a busy road until I finally spotted it. When I tried to change my stay from 6 nights to 5 nights, I was ignored, and the staff handed me a key for a room whose number I didn’t know. I parked, drove past a row of cell blocks, and the staff was nowhere to be seen. At cell block 8, the staff rushed out of an unknown room, returned to the office, and didn’t bother to show me which cell I was in. After that confusion, all I wanted was to wash my hands to remove the sticky grime from my steering wheel, but there was no soap or hand wash in the bathroom; the staff suggested using shower gel instead. The shower itself had black tiles with what I assumed was soap scum—see the attached photo. I also took a walk around the grounds to see the boutique luxury that the photos promised, but the grass was overgrown, weeds reached thigh height, the deck chairs looked like they’d been tossed by a cyclone, the paint on the “bar” was chipped, and umbrellas were scattered haphazardly—likely by the same cyclone. This was definitely not a 5‑night stay, so I cancelled immediately and went to VS Welcome Resort. It was a bit hard to find on the first try, but once you do, I highly recommend it.

The location was good, but the breakfast was disappointing.

The hotel was comfortable and clean, offering great value for money, especially with its pool. It isn’t on the sea but is close to the 4‑way exit and not far from the city centre. The only issue was the pool ladder, which was defective and posed a risk of injury; it should be repaired.
