The Kyoto Brighton Hotel is nestled in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from Kyoto Imperial Palace. Non-smoking, soundproofed rooms feature air-purifier/humidifiers and matcha tea sets. The hotel offers 5 dining options, concierge service, and free shuttle services to/from Karasumaoike Subway Station. It holds the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and Travelers' Choice Awards.

The staff were very pleasant and attentive, the place was very clean, and the hotel’s teppanyaki restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast was good, and there was a private parking area on the premises. All temples, gardens, and points of interest were easily reachable by car. The Nishiki market was also accessible thanks to the hotel shuttle that departs every 20 minutes. Aside from pineapple and grapes, the fruit selection at breakfast was a bit lacking. There was no onsen or gym in a hotel that could afford such facilities.
