“Never again”
The mice didn’t get to my bag. I wasn’t expecting much, just something decent, it wasn’t. Bad start from the beginning: no greetings from the staff, she just completely ignored me for a while before translating me something on her phone. After a little while, I got the horrible room : bedsheets were not changed from the last guest (I made them change it), there was just a tiny upper window with a wall in front of it (so no natural light) it was 30° in the room and there was no way to make it lower as the heating system was nextdoor, and the door of the room wasn’t just locking, it wasn’t closing at all. They still put a “we’re not responsible of your belongings sign…” You have to keep the door wide open at night so that the temperature drops to 27 or so, getting all the noise from the corridor and the horrible neon light that’s on all the time. There is one man toilet and one shower/sink for the whole corridor, which has 7 double room. Had to wait very often for toilets, and hostel wasn’t full at all. Most of the time toilets are dirty and there is no toilet paper. The shower was very bad too, either super warm or super cold, temperature changing all the time, very hard to use. Cherry on the cake was the second night when they started painting the corridor in front of my door at 9pm : noise and worst of all, smell and unhealthy chemicals. Of course it’s 28°+ and you can’t close your door, so the thing was just horrible, I went to complain and ask them to stop it, because it seems obvious to me that it’s not safe to sleep in a freshly painted room. The lady at the desk gave me the worst “I don’t give a f*” look and just completely ignored me, as if I was’t in front of her. I pounded the desk and shouted, it was just too much, a summit of incompetence and a total lack of any ounce of service, it just drove me mad
