The accommodation was basic but impeccably clean and comfortable; the bed was very comfy, the shower hot, the AC cold, and the spot was great for reaching restaurants, markets, and tours. The outdoor patio chairs and hammock were also nice to relax in. I have no complaints, but I’d let future guests know that the check‑in reception isn’t at the hotel. We had to wander around looking for it, but when I messaged the “front desk,” the host replied quickly and directed us to where we could check in.

The location was excellent, the covered terrace was nice, and it was close to the main street and the supermarket. The building was very damp, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work well (in Tortuguero the phones don’t pick up, so if you need to contact your guides you’ll have to find another way).

The place is spot on – clean, roomy, and the terrace is a real treat. They tidy up and swap towels daily, and the staff are super friendly. Booking the tours through the hotel was a breeze, well organized and cheap.
